Yaron Spiwak was born and raised in Kfar Saba, Israel. From a young age, he immersed himself in music, studying piano, oboe, drums, and voice. During high school, while majoring in music, he picked up the alto saxophone and soon began performing with some of Israel’s most prominent big bands, including the Holon Big Band and the Tel Aviv Conservatory Big Band. His classical training provided a strong foundation for his evolving passion for jazz and pop music.

Toward the end of his military service, Yaron was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Composing and songwriting became vital tools in his healing process. Once in remission, he enrolled at the Rimon School of Music for Jazz and Pop, where his talents quickly stood out. In 2005, he won the prestigious Shirimon contest and received scholarships for both his arrangements and performance work.

Yaron began performing original music while also touring with leading Israeli artists such as Dani Litani, David D’or, and The Iris and Ofer Portugally Gospel Choir. Over the years, he’s collaborated with a wide range of top Israeli musicians, including Netta (2018 Eurovision winner), Yoni Bloch, Knesiyat Hasechel, Rita, Natan Goshen, Hatikva 6, Avraham Tal, Ravid Plotnik, and many others.

In 2007, Yaron moved to the United States. He was awarded scholarships to both Berklee College of Music and UCLA, ultimately choosing UCLA and the sunshine of Southern California. He graduated with honors in 2014, earning a B.A. in Jewish and Middle Eastern Studies, and completed the Visual and Performing Arts Education Program. At UCLA, Yaron studied with nationally respected musicians such as Professor AJ Racy (Near Eastern music), Professor Donald Neuen (choral conducting), and Professor James Roberson (gospel music).

After graduation, Yaron built a versatile career as a performer, playing in clubs across Los Angeles (Revolver, Don’t Tell Mama, Tramp Stamp Granny’s, and more), performing on cruise ships (Holland America and Carnival with Atlantis Cruises), and serving as a resident piano man in Provincetown, Massachusetts, at venues including Tin Pan Alley, The Gifford House, The Red Room, Pilgrim House, and the Crown and Anchor.

In 2016, Yaron joined Walt Disney Imagineering as a full-time Music Producer and Creative Director. He went on to produce and supervise music for Disney Parks attractions, live entertainment, and global marketing campaigns. His work also extended across the broader Disney universe, including The Muppets Studio, Marvel, Star Wars, Cirque du Soleil, National Geographic, ABC, Disney Junior, Disney+, and Pixar.

While at Disney, Yaron has collaborated on and produced over 25 albums and singles with notable artists including Luis Fonsi, Brandy, Lindsey Stirling, Karen Clark, Kierra Sheard, Todrick Hall, Judith Hill, Tony Shalhoub, Paul Reubens, and The Muppets. His work has garnered millions of streams, chart placements, and critical acclaim. Many of his projects with Disney have received prestigious honors, including THEA and IAAPA Brass Ring Awards.

In 2023, Yaron launched Spiwak Music, working as a freelance music producer and music director for film, television, theater, consumer products, and radio. He also serves as a consultant for cutting-edge AI companies navigating music-related challenges.

Yaron is a BMI member and a voting member of the Recording Academy (Grammy Awards). Several of his compositions have been commercially published.
